Allen Jesse- Rockin & Rollin in New Orleans
[Jasmine3297]
$12.00

Jacksonville Florida native JESSE ALLEN recorded some solid early southern R&B as a guitarist & singer for a relativly short period between 1951 & 1958. He benefitted from solid session players from New Orleans including EARL PALMER, RED TYLER, LEE ALLEN, JAMES BOOKER & DAVE BARTHOLOMEW who  produced many of the sides.  It appears that his entire legacy  was 20 sides released on IMPERIAL, ALADDIN, BAYOU & ACE along with his final single from 1958 on JIMMY LIGGINS DUPLEX label which is one of the GREATEST raucous blues sides of the fifties.............
