Since the early 80s, Duke Robillard has led his own bands. His 1985 trio,The Pleasure Kings, were a hard rockin blues outfit during the heyday of the blues revival.  The Duke Robillard Band plays in a more sophisticated and jazzy style which is Duke's strong suit.   On the two gigs represented on Live In Bremen both of Robillard's bands play with a deeply satisfying feel and sense of swing and with dazzling musicianship. His cover of the Lowell Fulson/Jimmy McCracklin tune TRAMP is 7 minutes of heaven!!!....
