Richard Lewis & Dolores Gibson were never star attractions on the West Coast scene but judging by their personal appearances and recordings they must have had a following however short lived it was. Richard Lewis first appeared in 1949 playing piano along with Marvin Phillips recording two instrumentals as the Rhythm Riffers. Over the next few years Lewis went on to record some wine induced singles with Phillips before teaming up with Dolores Gibson. Phillips went on to seek fame as Marvin & Johnny. In 1954 Lewis & Gibson recorded a minor hit with 'Hey, Little Boy' for Aladdin. Lewis under his own name also recorded an answer disc 'Hey Little Girl'. He continued to record during 1954 and then dropped out of sight. Never interviewed and all that's known about him has come from Marvin Phillips. Dolores continued recording with him during 1954 with a few singles being issued and a few titles on a compilation LP. She then reappeared in 1960 with some singles under her own name apparently recorded with the Johnny Otis Orchestra. She too then disappeared from view................
