A funky, low-down bash! Bee Houston was someone I heard on the radio (thanks Steve Hoffman!) years ago and ran out and ordered the lp. This is expanded, so it\'s even better. Houston plays in a soul blues style (not like the current watered-down soul blues) with raw enthusiasm, making the songs crackle with energy. If you can, listen to the first cut and I think you\'ll be hooked. Slightly funky, slightly uptown, down home, raw, horn-backed, guitar driven, great vocal blues. Another great find (if you got here). One of those unknown gems a friend turns you onto.
