Goree Carter is not well known, and that's almost criminal. He is somewhere between T-Bone and Gatemouth; not as sophisticated as T-Bone, not as wild as Gatemouth. If you like either, you'll love Goree! Carter's best sides are totally stomping jump blues and it is a shame that he gets so little exposure. There is a vol II with Lester Williams and you should prepare to buy it once you hear this.
