Lovers of Deep Soul rejoice, as we have another great one from Spencer. This is classic 60\'s Soul, and while a few cuts from the early 70\'s, these do not demonstrate the excesses of the Soul Music from that era. Really, it seems like any of these should have been hits - even the unreleased cuts. I have a theory (which can never be proven) that had Spencer been on Stax, Atlantic, or even Capitol, he\'d be revered in the same group as Pickett, Sledge, et al. Really - it\'s that good. You\'ve got the classic session men backing him up, great production, heartfelt vocals - a soul fan\'s dream. Buy it if you like Southern Soul; you\'ll be happy! 10/10 rating.
