My favorite release of 2008, and still gets major play - especially in my car.

Charlie covered so much on the sales page, that it's hard to really add anything, but this is so good that I'll try!

Circa 1983, a friend of mine scored the King's Henchmen LP and played it for me. I looked forever, and as of 2008 had still not found it. I may not have devoyed my life to the search, but this can attest to the disc's rarity.

What's so great? Well, you get two lp's on one cd for starters. Sam "the Man" Taylor and King Curtis roar throughout. Kenny Burrell plays some great jump blues/R & R lines on the guitar, the bass and drums are right on and half the songs have a baritone guitar adding to the sound.

Any fan of honking sax-led jump blues is advised to get this ASAP. There is nothing negative to say about it. One of my ALL-TIME favorites!
