Rockbeat label continues to unearth quality live recordings, this time with a wonderful radio broadcast of the Butterfield "horn band" from December 1970........The band includes DAVID SANBORN- GENE DINWIDDIE- TREVOR LAWRENCE & STEVE MADAIO and the always soulful Butterfield on harp........The first disc has long extended jams on some blues chestnuts but somehow never lose their focus.......The second disc is a standard set list similar to their LIVE album released on Elektra back in 1971........I grew up seeing this band many times and always enjoy their work.......
