These AMAZING recordings of Drifting Slim, Boyd Gilmore, Ernest Lane and others capture the rough rural sound of delta juke house bands at their down home best. Some of these sides were reissued by P-Vine a few years ago, but this first volume of a projected three cd series adds some unissued and never reissued gems to the cd format.
