Will Roy Sanders was the leader of Memphis' Fieldstones, one of the finest blues bands to ever perform. The Fieldstones ruled the Memphis juke joint scene from the early '70s until the early '90s, playing at a legendary Memphis haunt called Green's Lounge, among other places. In the early '90s, Sanders took over Green's Lounge and continued to play every weekend night with one of the toughest blues bands in the world. In 1997 Shangri-la Projects documented Sanders' life story in a film called Will Roy Sanders: The Last Living Bluesman. This cd is the soundtrack to that film. The cd contains songs performed by Sanders interspersed with dialogue taken from the film in between the songs. The soundtrack cd also contains the highly sought after track "Crosscut Saw," performed and recorded by Sanders' 1st band the Binghampton Blues Boys in the early 1960s, before Albert King made it a blues standard.............
