CHUCK HIGGINS was one of the most popular attractions of the West Coast’s mid 50s early R&R scene. In early 1956 his performance here in Santa Cruz caused such a rukus that the authorities shut down the dance at the Civic Auditorium and banned all future "rock & roll" dances. He recorded prolifically for many different record labels including Specialty, Aladdin, Combo & Dootone (with Jimmy Nolen). This compilation presents a ‘selected anthology’ of Chuck’s singles’ releases between 1953 and 1957 which never quite achieved national chart action but were jukebox successes in Los Angeles and along the West Coast. Jimmy Nolen is featured vocalist on the hilarious "Here I'm Is" & "Eyeballin".............
