One of the most famous names in the history of the blues, Saunders Terrell p.k.a. Sonny Terry was a giant of his chosen genre for more than half a century.  Although they were known largely as exponents of countrified folk blues in the 60s, both Sonny and Brownie cut first rate, out-and-out rhythm & blues in what is known as the ‘Piedmont’ style in the 1950s. This collection brings together all the singles that Sonny recorded during that decade and features some of the hardest, most exhilarating music to come out of that extraordinary period in time..................
