The brief and dazzling life of MCM Records was a labor of love that captured many treasured live performances from the last flowering of the classic Chicago Blues age. When Marcelle Chailleux Morgantini married Jacques Morgantini, he introduced her to American jazz and blues music. Guitarist Jimmy Dawkins, who was a good friend, then introduced the couple to several of the many good blues musicians playing in Chicago at the time. When Marcelle came into some money on her 50th birthday, her only wish was to go back to Chicago and record the blues and the results are presented here over 8 cds of tough urban club blues.......The 24 page booklet covers the labels story and has some wonderful photos of the artists..........
