The third volume of the chronological recordings of Sunnyland Slim, features the recordings cut between 1952 and 1955 for Ebony, Chance, Blue Lake, JOB, and a rare coupling, "Be Mine Alone" c/w "Sad and Lonesome", issued on Club "51" with Lefty Bates' Combo. Pride of place here, however, goes to the previously unissued 1953 Vee Jay session with the all-star band including Snooky Pryor, Floyd Jones and Eddie Taylor. Aside from a final Cobra date in 1956 and a 1960 release on the obscure Miss Records, Slim's remaining years would be spent cutting LPs for the lucrative blues revival market.
