Ellis is a young singer/songwriter who has a declamatory and soulful voice and great understated guitar style. This cd is a treasure chest of well written, well sung material by a real talent. He looks like Sam Cooke and has everything it takes to be a success.
Songs like "Hole IN My Heart" & Everything's Falling All Around Me" have direct appeal to the soul & are testimony to the talent of Mr. Hooks. There are few new artists who come out of the chute on both feet, but Ellis Hooks certainly has it going on. This is one not to miss.
