Guitar virtuoso HANK “SUGARFOOT” GARLAND was one of the founding fathers and anchormen of the celebrated Nashville “A” Team.
In September 1961, at the age of only thirty, he was involved in a near-fatal car crash. He spent several weeks in a coma, and although he regained consciousness and made a partial recovery, he’d suffered brain damage and was never able to resume his career.
This compilation presents a snapshot of Hank’s session work between 1949 and 1961, including a couple of his own solo recordings.& features collectors’ rarities, flips, flops and album tracks. All musical genres are covered, with a strong emphasis on his R&R and Rockabilly sessions.
